Chris De Burgh – The Fascinating Adult Contemporary Singer

August 5th 2009 03:41
Chris De Burgh, which is formerly known as “Christopher James Davidson”, is a fantastic adult contemporary singer and music creators.

Chris was born on 15 October 1948 in Venado Tuerto, Argentina to Colonel Charles Davidson, a British diplomat, and Maeve Emily de Burgh, an Irish Secretary (That’s why he holds the British and Irish nationality).

During his childhood, he spent much of his early life in Malta, Nigeria and Zaire with his family. After he grown up, he attended the Trinity College in Dublin with a Master of Arts degree in French, English and History.

He took his mother’s maiden name as his professional nickname. In 1974, De Burgh signed a contract with A&M recording company and joined the Supertramp group. He released his first personal album in February 1975 entitled “Far Beyond These Castle Wall”. After it, his single EP, “Flying” is released in July. Although the second album didn’t performed well in U.K. music chart, but it did made its way up to No.1 in Brazilian’s music chart. It stayed as the No.1song in the chart for over 17 weeks consecutively!

Later on, De Burgh second album, “Spanish Train and Other Stories” was started to open up his road of fame in Canada, South Africa, Europe and Latin America. His fifth album, “Eastern Wind” total album sold was even much better than The Beatles “Let It Be” in Norway!

Now, Chris De Burgh is back with his new album, “Footstep”. It contains 15 remarkable songs inside the tracks.

Honestly, I highly recommended you to listen to his new song, “Footsteps”. You will be mesmerized with his smooth and flattering voice.

this is music which grows on you, lovely lyrics with a poetic quality, wonderful for lovers to share while slow dancing or relaxing at night, also good for those, alone, like me.

Glad you love it, Katyzzz. Honestly, it's not bad to be alone, at least you have more time for yourself!
